The Heavy Duty Pump SP(R) is designed for applications requiring high reliability and durability. The bearing assembly allows heavy duty cast iron submersible pumps to operate under "squeaky" conditions without damaging the bearings, and is designed to treat abrasive slurries and corrosive fluids by using wet end parts of elastomer or metal linings. Wear-resistant pumps are suitable for mining, chemical processing, wastewater treatment, gravel and general process applications.
Core Advantages
Wide Material Selection & Extended Service Cycle
We supply high-chrome alloy and natural rubber wet-end components as alternatives. Both materials deliver outstanding anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion performance to match different slurry media, greatly extending spare part service life.
Flexible Customization For Different Sump Environments
XP vertical sump pumps support multiple customized accessories: suction agitators, extended suction pipes and lengthened shafts (max 3 meters). These add-ons help the pump fit all kinds of tank and pit working conditions perfectly.
Compact Robust Structure With Easy Installation
The pump adopts an assembled vertical structure. Pump body, stand column, bearing bracket and motor base are connected by bolts. A split mounting plate on the column enables quick fixing on concrete or steel platforms. The solid cantilever shaft layout saves floor space, simplifies maintenance and improves operational safety.
Powerful Self-Suction & Dry-Running Capability
Fitted with double-sided semi-open impellers with upper and lower suction ports. The pump can run smoothly even if the top inlet is exposed to air and allows temporary dry idle operation.
Outstanding Anti-Block Performance
Strainers are installed at both upper and lower suction openings, paired with wide flow channels inside the impeller. This structure effectively avoids blockage from solid particles and debris.
Low-Failure Upper Bearing Unit
The whole cartridge bearing set is mounted above liquid level, so bearings never contact slurry. Heavy-duty grease-lubricated roller bearings reduce breakdown frequency and achieve long-term stable operation.
Two Optional Transmission Modes
Clients can choose direct coupling drive or belt pulley drive. It is convenient to adjust flow and head parameters to satisfy unique on-site production demands.
Remarkable Economic BenefitsThis vertical pump eliminates shaft seals and pre-filling work, so no extra sealing water expense is needed. Its small footprint, high efficiency, reliable operation and long service life cut maintenance downtime and labor costs, bringing obvious cost advantages for your production.

Installation Types
DC: The motor mounting base is set above the bearing assembly, so it is easy to replace or repair the motor parts.
BD: A V-belt is used to connect the motor shaft and the vertical heavy duty sump pumps shaft. The motor support frame is installed above the bearing assembly, allowing easy replacement of grooved wheels. The purpose of swapping grooved wheels is to change the rotary speed of the pump shaft in order to suit varying pumping applications or conform to the worn-down sump pump.

Inlet Suction Types
XP series vertical sump slurry pumps come with three flexible inlet suction designs to fit different working conditions: standard strainer type, strainer with suction extension pipe, and strainer with agitator.
The standard version is equipped with a basic strainer. Users can optionally add a suction extension pipe or agitator to upgrade the pump’s working performance. These diverse suction configurations provide targeted, efficient solutions for various on-site slurry conveying needs. See the diagram below for specific details.

Wet End Parts Materials
The core flow passage components of VP vertical sump pumps cover impellers, volute casings and rear liners, with high-chrome alloys and rubber as mainstream manufacturing materials.
The standard A05 high-chrome alloy is the default option. Thanks to its balanced abrasion resistance and cost performance, it works perfectly for media with heavy solid abrasion and mild chemical corrosion. If your slurry carries strong corrosive substances, we suggest switching to A49 high-chrome alloy or natural rubber liners instead.
